Terms of service.
The agreement between you and StoryPros, LLC when you use BrokerEdge.
Last updated October 14, 2026.
1. The agreement
BrokerEdge is provided by StoryPros, LLC (“StoryPros”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using BrokerEdge you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use BrokerEdge on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can bind that company, and “you” means the company as well as you.
2. Who may use it
BrokerEdge is a business tool for employee-benefits professionals and the organizations they work for. You must be at least 18 and must give accurate account information. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password private. Tell us at once if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. Plans, allowances and billing
- The free plan lets you search. Paid plans add a monthly allowance of account unlocks and the research capabilities described on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms.
- Included unlocks reset each calendar month and do not carry over. Unlocks you purchase separately are tracked on their own. Contact lookups draw on a separate monthly allowance.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually as you choose, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation stops future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, after which unlocked research closes until you subscribe again.
- Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; a change applies from your next renewal.
- Enterprise plans include team access and a pooled allowance. The account owner is responsible for the members they invite.
4. What you may do with the research
You may use BrokerEdge and the research it produces for your own business of advising employers on employee benefits, including preparing for and conducting outreach to the people it identifies. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from BrokerEdge, by hand or by automated means, beyond the exports the product provides;
- resell, license, publish or redistribute the research, the data or any part of them, or use them to build a competing product or data set;
- share your login or let anyone outside your plan use your account;
- use contact details obtained through BrokerEdge in violation of any law that applies to your outreach, including CAN-SPAM, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state telemarketing and privacy laws, and do-not-call rules;
- use any information from BrokerEdge to make decisions about a person’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. BrokerEdge is not a consumer reporting agency;
- interfere with the service, probe its security, or circumvent its allowances or access controls.
5. What the research is, and is not
BrokerEdge is built on public filings, statistical estimates and research gathered from public sources, some of it summarized with the help of artificial intelligence. It is provided for information. A broker-change estimate is a probability, not a prediction of any particular employer’s intentions, and it does not mean an employer is dissatisfied, is running a review, or wants to hear from you. Public filings can be late, amended or wrong, and web sources can be out of date. We do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or current, that any person holds the role shown, or that any contact detail is deliverable, and nothing in BrokerEdge is legal, financial or insurance advice. You are responsible for verifying information before you rely on it and for the decisions you make with it.
6. Ownership
BrokerEdge, including its software, design, models, scores, compilations of data and the research it produces, belongs to StoryPros or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms for as long as your account is in good standing. Notes, stages and other content you add remain yours; you give us the right to store and display them to run the service for you. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation.
7. Third-party services
Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms. Email, research and contact lookups rely on providers named in our privacy policy. We are not responsible for those providers’ services beyond our own obligations under these terms.
8. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your payment fails, if your use threatens the service or other customers, or if we discontinue BrokerEdge, in which case we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused part of your term. Sections 4 through 6 and 9 through 12 survive termination.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
BrokerEdge is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and any warranty arising from course of dealing, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, StoryPros will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business or data, arising from or related to BrokerEdge or these terms, however caused. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us in that period. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify StoryPros against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of BrokerEdge in breach of these terms or of any law, including your outreach to people identified through it.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or from BrokerEdge that we cannot resolve informally will be settled by binding arbitration in Delaware under the JAMS Comprehensive Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis and not as a class or representative action. Either party may seek an injunction in court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use BrokerEdge after that date means you accept the new terms.
14. General
These terms, the pricing page and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between us about BrokerEdge. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. Notices to us go to matt@storypros.io; notices to you go to the email address on your account.
