Built on the public record.

BrokerEdge is built on public Form 5500 filings, a model that estimates the likelihood of a broker change, and research from public sources. Each answers a different question.

The filings.

Years of reported history, read as one account.

Employers file a Form 5500 for each benefit plan with the Department of Labor every year. The filings report the plan, its carriers and service providers, what those providers were paid, and how many people the plan covers. BrokerEdge brings those filings together by employer and by year, so a broker relationship and its changes read as one history.

77,525benefit plans scored
3.5M+broker-of-record records analyzed
96,280brokers tracked

Filing history goes back to plan year 2009. The data is a periodic snapshot of the Department of Labor’s public releases, and every record shows its plan year. Filings describe a plan year and arrive after it.

The estimate.

One number per plan, checked against what happens next.

Each scored plan carries an estimate of how likely the employer is to change its benefits broker. The model learns from broker changes the filings themselves document, and new filings are checked against earlier estimates as they arrive. The home page rotates a sample of calls that later filings confirmed; it is a sample, not a hit rate.

An estimate is a reason to look closer, not proof of intent. The report shows what is driving it, so you can decide whether the account deserves a conversation.

Research and people.

What public sources say about the employer, and who runs its benefits.

Deep Research adds what public sources say about the employer: the benefits it advertises, what employees report, which specialist programs and vendors appear, and what is changing in the business. Decision Makers adds the people who run the employer’s benefits, with on-demand business email and phone lookups from licensed providers.

Every finding links to its source. Summaries are AI-assisted, so check the source before you act on one.
